Dear Friends of the USO,

Below you will find a letter from the mother of an injured Marine. The USO and the NIC MVPA (military vehicle club) will be attending the event for him on Sunday in Kenosha, WI. Please spread the word about the event and send birthday cards too!!!!

My son, Corporal Adam C. Kisielewski was injured in Iraq on August 21, 2005. He lost his left arm at the shoulder and his right leg barely below the knee. He also has hearing damage and a very severely damaged left leg. The knee cap is completely gone, there are 2 broken bones and lots of nerve and tissue damage.

He is handling all of this more bravely that I ever could imagine anyone doing so. His attitude in not anger or why me....its just get me my new arm and leg and let me get on with my life. He is truly a remarkable young man.

Oct 2,k this coming Sunday will be his 22nd birthday. Kenosha is sponsoring a car show in his honor at Simmons Island in Kenosha. Attached you will find the info regarding this car show.
You can send cards to Adam at the following address:

Marine Casualty Services Branch
c/o Cpl. Adam Kisielewski
8901 Wisconsin Ave
Bethesda, MD 20889

Adam will remain at Bethesda Maryland, Naval hospital for a few more weeks. He then will transfer to Walter Reed in DC and will have approx 12-18 months longer for fitting of the prosthetics and learning how to use them.

Any help you can provide to us for advertising the car show would be a great help. I know there is very limited time left. But anything you could do would be greatly appreciated. Also any Birthday Cards to Adam would be wonderful. He read every single card personally and it doew inspire him quite a lot.

Thank you.
Sandy Moran
