I'd like to hear from the presidential candidates what they drive and how they maintain them. WA State Governor Locke was not of my favored party but I always cut him some slack and gave him special regard after hearing that he drove an older Mustang that that he had restored and maintained himself.

Just exactly who really gives a flying hoot WHAT Bernie Sanders drives? Or what Jay Leno, Barbra Streisand, or Clint Eastwood, or Snoop Dogg, or Nancy Pelosi drives ?

Most of the "candidates" probably use their campaign donations to hire limos anyway.

Political thread - off to the Current Issues forum.

FYI, one of Bernie's cars is an Audi R-8, (V8 or V10), classified as a Super Car which starts at about $200,000 and up. Nice ride for a Socialist who wants you to ride in a electric YUGO.

I watched the last DNC debates and was interested by the candidates' responses to a question concerning a formative personal experience. Child care, illness or Buttgeig's "coming out" ; it was interesting but I could not or did not want to relate. A car question would have been interesting. A practical candidate with grease under their fingernails would have been good. Frankly, lawyers ask the dumbest questions when they pick juries!
