I purchased a 20,000 mile 2017 XTS not realizing When I purchased this it had no backup camera. The information sheet that was on the window of of the car stated it had Both a CD player and a backup camera. The Cadilac dealership where I purchased The car from told me that it is a generic form that is printed with the information for each car. Which really never really made any sense. So apparently it’s our problem not theirs. I love the car and I got a good deal on it. I purchased a new Cadillac stainless trim piece with the correct back up camera on it already. Problem I have now is the male plug that comes from the old trim piece that only has two wires and that female it plugs it into only has two wires. The new trim piece has six wires that plugs in to the same female plug with only two wires. Does anybody on this form ever addressed this situation. Right now on my stainless steel refrigerator she has written with a dry Erase marker get my back up camera fixed!!!! It would be so nice to get this problem solved. My thinking is that somewhere the two wire pigtail that I’m plugging into is able to be swapped with the correct harness. I know that when I get this situation with the harness taken care of I will still have to get the CUE reprogramed...... Thank you all suggestions are appreciated

If you bought a car that had its features displayed in the window and they are in fact absent, the words "false pretenses" come to mind. Talk to your dealer, and if that doesn't work, talk to the GM Regional Rep. After that: Small Claims Court.
