I am to the point that I may need to start replacing my power steering fluid and was looking for options. I hear good things about Valvoline hence the question in the subject line. I am definitely looking for options though. If GM power steering fluid is the recommendation then I would use that (if the price is reasonable).

The tranny fluid might work, but not recommended. Go with gm spec fluid.

(My Toyota Celica specs the tranny fluid)

The GM spec for P/S fluid is in the owner's manual. It's a light amber GM fluid - sourced from several packagers.

It is NOT ATF or DEXRON.
