Powdercoat is like paint, except it is used for areas that will get damaged easily and would normally chip. Wheels and chrome bumpers often get powdercoated. DON'T paint your wheels, they will chip and you will cry.

Powdercoating wheels is the preferred way, due to its resistance to heat and increased durability over paint. I plan on blacking my stock rims this winter, and I'm leaning toward powdercoating. Cost shouldn't be more than 200bucks for all four.

Oklahoma's a li'l different market than Florida, I guess. We have alot of powdercoating outfits around here and a friend of mine has a small setup so he does alot of piping and manifolds for turbo setups. A place that can do wheels, well, there are three I can think of locally and a friend of mine is really good friends with one place.

I'd say 'shop around' for a good deal, but if you've not had any experience with their work, ask for an example so you know you're gonna get the desired results.
