Hi everyone,
We recently got an 02 Escalade and now we are looking at getting a 27 ft travel trailer that has a dry weight of around 4600 lbs.

I know the escalade is rated to tow around 8500 lbs max ... so I feel comfortable that the power is there.

I have the shorter wheel base truck, brake controller and sway bars.

I live in WV ... great area for camping but a lot of up and down and winding around.

How do you all think the truck will handle?

Should I turn off the auto ride (or can I even)?

Looking forward to going camping ... just want to make sure we get there and back OK :)

Thanks

You'll be fine... Of course on uphill grades your gonna feel it struggle but keep an eye on the temps, as long as thats good you should be fine, no need to disable the air suspension just setup your weight distribution hitch and go.. I even added a larger trans cooler for insurance
