I just sold my '93 Deville via Ebay to a buyer in Africa.
Any idea why someone in Africa would want a V8, 10 year old Caddy with non-functioning A/C?
The cost of shipping from Canada to Africa is about 1/2 of what it cost him for the car itself.
Any idea where to get a Cadillac serviced in Africa?

At first I thought it was some kind of scam, but I received the money for it by wire transfer, and everything looks legit.

Those are great links. Thanks. And I'm aware of those scams.
1) This guy isn't in Nigeria. (Though he still is in Africa).
2) He wired me the correct amount (not too much)
3) I've been sitting with his money for about a month now.
4) The bank has assured me that the funds are real, and that I don't have to worry about it. (I printed the letters from the bank, and am keeping them in a safe place). If I lose any money at all on the deal, I'm going after the bank.

I've spoken to the guy on the phone as well.

I'm really trying to figure out how he's scamming me. But it looks legit. (In this rare case, I guess)

He's got your bank account number now that he wired money to you.

Not sure how it works, but I get e-mails about some guy from a mistery position who has a few million dollars and he wants to use my account and he'll pay me something for it. Except that they use this information to clean out your account.

I'd be very leary.

I am being very careful.

I'm not sure about in the US, but in Canada (where I live), people can't take money out of your account without permission.

Exact letter from my bank:

I can confirm that it is safe to provide the person with your banking information for the purpose of the wire transfer. No one can withdraw from your account beside yourself, especially from another country.

So I think I should be safe.
