never owned a Lexus, but if the fob is in your pocket and you don't wanna touch it, just push the button on the door handle.

sure. also, in cue settings, you can make it when you push that door handle button whether you want it to unlock all doors or just the driver door.

I had an 07 IS250, and it did not automatically unlock when you approached. It unlocked when you touched the back side of the door pull, but had puddle lamps in the side view mirrors that lit up when you approached at about 4 feet. I had a few ES loaners that worked the same way (not sure about the puddle lamps). There were posters on ClubLexus who insisted that the dealer could program the fob for autolock when you walked away from the car, so if you had it auto unlock as you walked near, the dealer must of done some type of modification, because that was not one of the "Lexus Personalized Settings."

I love the autolock on the ats. I keep it turned on. It's a no brainer, I never touch my fob, put it in my pocket in the morning and take it out at night. That's about it.

You are right--this feature is not on the '14 Base:

But was added to the '15 Base:

I don't get it--BMW does the same thing with Comfort Access. Why have push button start, but still need to take the fob out of your pocket to unlock the doors? So--you take the fob out of your pocket, unlock, and put it back in your pocket and start the car? Makes no sense?

You mean on the back of the door handle? That is pretty trick.
