It' not as far-fetched as one might think. Think about what the two main engines HAVE been in that sport. Then think about where one of them is going. Then remember which GM division took over that engines' design and is still in business today (and will continue to be).

I think it's saying that the team (drivers, crew, etc..) is going to CART, not Cadillac Motor Company..

And Champcar is locked into Ford motors till the 2005 season.
But there are more rumors on Champcar boards about this. So maybe establishing the team is just step one.
