After my 74 Fleetwood had 4 breakdowns in one month, I ordered an 1984 Turbo Sunbird 4 door. It was a nice, roomy small car with plenty of go in the higher rpms. Sporty, but the ride wasn't bone-jarring.

GM's big mistake was rushing to market with a 4 cyl Cimmaron. The interior was attractive, with leather seats. That article had several other factual errors. The early-mid 80's was the nadir of auto design and performance, a reaction to the 79 oil crisis.
