I thought this warranted it's own thread so everyone knew we are talking a group buy here. Pete normally sell these specially processed OEM sized brake rotors for $700. If we get a minimum of six orders we can get them for $600.
Here's Pete's e-mail to me:
Bob:
You would have to get a "head count" on how many people would be interested in a 4 piece rotor package in order for me to calculate any type of " group buy" discount.
I try to price them "out of the box" at close to rock bottom; so there may not be that much of a margin with regard to a discount. The rotors are however guaranteed and "heads and shoulders" above the OEM brembo cast economy rotor as well as the off-shore Chinese gravity-cast iron rotors.
Namely the differences are:
Additional options that I can make available at standard rates:
We will obviously cross drill and/or gas slot each rotor. So in summary; I would suggest the following as a package:
Our cryo treated Cadillac CTS directional vane rotors. They will be cross drilled and cryogenically treated. After cryo-treatment; each rotor will be bright nickel plated as a rust inhibitor as described above. If the client wants the rotor hubs powder-coated we will offer that as an option; but quite frankly I think most would be better served with simply purchasing a G2 epoxy kit for less than $50 and applying any color of their choice to the rotor hubs. I would really rather not fool around with the powder coating, but if someone wants it; I will make it available at $195.
I would highly recommend the DOT certified braided stainless steel brake lines at $150 as an option as this feature speaks for itself.
MSRP on the Rotor Package: $700.00 plus shipping; Group Buy Purchase price: $600 plus UPS shipping
Optional Stainless Steel Braided Brake Lines: $150.00
See what you interest you might be able to stimulate and what you can put together. I would need a minimum of 6 orders in order to offer the above price of $600
best regards - Pete
Tripleought can we put you down for the first?
Bob
P.S. there is no core charge or trade of rotors.

Namely the differences are:
- Our rotors are cold forged pressed from long grain ductile iron which is a premium grade carbon steel and literally costs twice the price of short grain gravity cast iron.
- Our directional vane is of a proprietary design and our rotors are made to order here in the United States. We made the investment in the tooling for the impeller design which provides substantial cooling properties to the center wheel bearings over the OEM designed directional vane rotor.
- Our rotors do not receive a 2 minute tin-zinc electro-plating as a rust inhibitor as most "aftermarket rotors do". The OEM brembo rotors receive no coating whatsoever; just a factory paint protectant. Our rotors receive a 1 hour bath in copper and a 2 hour bath in bright nickel. This 3 hour plating process almost insures that you could drop this rotor in the Pacific Ocean and will experience no rust formation anywhere.
Additional options that I can make available at standard rates:
- Powder coating of the center rotor hubs in a two-stage process. Client can select the color and we will powder coat it any of 2500 different colors plus clear coat it. Cost would be $195.00. As you know, allot of folks will buy those epoxy paint kits made by G2 and they do a decent job. The powder coating process is more of a permanent process and is impervious to brake fluid and brake cleaning solvents.
- We can also supply DOT certified braided stainless steel brake lines which I would highly recommend. Cost is $150 and they provide a much firmer brake pedal feel and virtually eliminate any brake fade that is associated with the swelling of the OEM rubber brake lines under ambient temperature changes.
