You might think this is kind of a "weenie" thing to do,,,,,,but for my 1988 sedan deville and the 1997 sedan deville I made up a coupla plaques to replace the glovebox emblems entirely. I measured the space (around 1.5 inches by 1/2 inch, or so), figured out the build-date of the cars and then went to my local engraving shop and had them craft up the plaques for me. Something along the lines of "This Cadillac Sedan Deville was assembled on August 27, 1988, specifically for Frost" Had the lettering done in New Times Roman.
Since the '88 SDV was brown, it got the gold plaque, the '97 got the silver one. Total cost for this extravagence? About 3 bucks apiece.
Total number of comments/compliments? Too many to mention.
"Wow" factor for the inititiated? Priceless,,,,,,,,,,,,some people are SO gull-i-bull!
