I've just recently gotten rid of my 300C after four years and got the Cadillac CTS Coupe. I LOVED the 300C. Tons of fun. I have to say I really miss the HEMI, but the Cadillac's V6 is enough. The seats and interior in the Chrysler are quite roomier than the CTS's. The ride is smoother than the coupe's and the steering is more relaxed. I loved the styling of the 300 2005-2010, especially the HID headlight system, but the new ones are god awful IMO. CTS's sound system and electronics are better in the Cadillac. I would say to drive them both and see which is more comfortable. They're both great cars. I've gotten just as many compliments on the 300 as I do on the CTS, although many people are excited to see the new coupe's styling.

I like the new styling...less 'pimpy' than previous in my opinion, although not sure I like the Audi copied LED's in the front headlight assembly. Actually, a lot of the styling inside and out looks like bits and pieces stolen from other sport/luxury sedans, but it still comes together well. I still don't trust Chrysler quality though...it's going to take more than Eminem and a catchy new slogan to convince me they've changed. I priced out a loaded 300C for fun, came in about $46K US...again, I don't know if I could pay that much for a Chrysler, but that does have the HEMI. Only time will tell to see if they've really 'arrived', but I'd still wait to see their service record over the next few years and see how the resale holds up before I'd seriously consider purchasing one. I'm less worried about the engine performance than I am on how the electronics and other mechanicals hold up, but that goes with any redesigned car.

IMO...I would never pay that for a new car price. I would buy a year old model along with a certified warranty for about $20K less. Agreed on the worries over electronics. Those can be a real pain in the rear. My old 300C was a 2005, which was the first year for the new design. There were small problems and quirks that were quickly resolved by the dealership. The quality of the components and interior is slightly less than Cadillac's, but nothing extremely disappointing. I haven't seen the new ones though. If you're looking to compare prices vs quality in a new car, I'd go with Cadillac. If you're OK with saving a lot of money on a slightly used vehicle with warranty..I'd go with the Chrysler.

No comparison in my book. The CTS wins both in styling, IN and OUT! The 300 may have the availability of the HEMI but if I wanted to go that route I would get a Challenger!
And the CTS has the availability of the LSA. Makes the "hemi" look like a toy.

The new 300 looks better, I will admit. But it still looks like it can't decide whether it wants to copycat a Mercedes or a Bentley.

True but with the LSA I would have to give up my AWD! But I could get the hemi Challenger as a second car for less than the V - Just showing my age because I had a 72 Challenger that really hauled ass!

Someone told me that they have dropped awd from the 300 V6. I don't know if that is true. If anything, I would have thought they would drop it from the V8. Considering the drivetrain won't survive if you disable torque management, I always wondered about the longevity of the awd on the v8.

The 300 is a solid car. For alot of people, it's a great value. There is certainly nothing unique or innovative about it. If you are looking at a CTS, you obviously demand a car that is extraordinary. The 300 is not.

I rented 300 only once - it was a boat. Some people may like it but not me. I would go for CTS in a heart bit, i.e. if the reliability was there!

LED - as JimmyH I am getting tired of them. I think it was Audi that started it. Now it seems every car is getting them....somebody needs to break this trend...........

I think they killed the 300 from Day 1 by dumbing it down with hyper stripped base models. The guy paying $45K for his doesn't want to drive the same car that some schmuck off the street just bought for $25K with cloth seats & 175 HP. They should keep the 300 up mkt and leeave the lower end to the Charger.
