Well I read a article on Wall Street about Cadillac plans they hired the former head of Audi to try and boost sales since they
dropped 6.5 percent last year (I wonder why?) maybe it is because of quality you can't boost your brand by making poor
quality cars.I have a 2010 SRX it is the worst luxury car I ever owned and had the worst Dealership experiences for repairs
also after the warranty is over Cadillac does nothing for you. If they really want to stay in the Luxury market they should not
put them next to a Chevrolet Dealership that is also their downfall I brought my SRX to Sun Cadillac under Warranty and they
drove me home in their parts van instead of offering a loaner since repairs would be overnight they since went out of business.
I own a Porsche also when you go to that Dealership it is another world if you can't get there they pick it up and bring it back
that is quality service and promotes brand loyalty. If Cadillac is serious about the Luxury market and want Brand Loyalty they
should make right by the people that bought these SRX's from Mexico with numerous defects or they are just wasting there
12 Billion they said they are going to pump in to the Brand.

We have owned a dozen Cadillacs over the years and have always had good luck with the cars and dealers. I am glad GM is putting someone like that in charge. I love our 2013 SRX. and will probably trade it for a new 2016 when they come out.

I love my dealer! If I can't drop off my SRX at the dealers they will schedule a time that is convient for me to come and pick up my SRX at work. They even ask me what new Cadillac would I like to drive back to the dealership or if need be they will let me keep the vehicle until my SRX is ready to be picked up. :)

Why can someone not be a fan without a vested interest? I'm willing to bet that Marc does work for GM in some way, but his passion for their vehicles is likely unrelated. Steve, you got a bad vehicle for sure based your'e feedback in this forum. Does that mean that every Cadillac is a lemon? To you it seems to. I will say that I'm not very impressed with the brand thus far, but many owners seem to be happy with them. My selling dealer provides ok service, but I recently went to another dealer in a different area for service. Based on that experience alone, I would buy a vehicle from the, if it were convenient for me. I felt the same way about my BMW dealer, but left the brand for other reasons. You've said that you paid cash for your vehicle and didn't want to buy another, but I wonder why you stay in it with your constant tales of woe. I can see Marc's point with regard to his dealer. If my dealer did a better job, I might have a better feeling about the brand than I do.

Sounds like 2010 was a bad year. My 2012 has been very solid so far and I plan on buying the GMEPP before the factory warranty runs out. Like many others on this forum, I've owned quite a few makes and models over the years (GM, Chrysler, Volvo, VW, Toyota, Honda, Mazda, Subaru) and each was a unique experience - mostly good, some downright terrible, and one common thread was as the cars aged, they became more expensive to maintain and run (yes even the Toyota's and Honda's). You may have a lemon. It happens and I totally understand how that taints the entire brand for you, but not everybody has a lemon.

2010 model year: Check
Planning on trading ASAP: I've heard that one too many times on this board, and yet they remain owners. :bigroll:

Yes, some of us are forced into the position beyond our immediate control. But let me assure you that as soon as I get reemployed in a decent job, I will be glad to sell my SRX and move on. This whole thing has been the biggest $40K disappointment of my entire 58 years.

Probably because the trade in value is too low to not want to take the loss. It will sock it to you while you own it and when you want to not own it!:)

As Soon As Possible means just that, not "immediately." Not everyone can financially afford to dump a car that has depreciated so significantly. With the 2010 being a problematic model year, I can't see a knowledgeable buyer willing to take that gamble unless the price is VERY right.

OMG!! I was hoping to sell this thing myself and avoid the hit but now that you mention it, I might have a problem since it's a 2010. I guess I'll end up taking a hit by doing a trade. :( What the hell else can go wrong? Every day that I continue to own this thing is like being drunk in a casino.

I wouldn't worry too much about it, if you have the patience to wait for an uninformed buyer. Although, the question then would be: Are you comfortable with asking for a higher price, with your knowledge the current/potential problems?
