Cadillac ATS 2013 water leak

couple of days ago it rained all night where I live and in the morning when I got in my car (2013 ATS) I noticed that the floor is drenched with water. I checked everything was closed properly. Doors windows and sunroof were all closed all the way. I am unable to see where this water had came from but it seems to me from the sunroof. I am guessing sunroof is not draining properly or water are coming out of the drain and into my car. The water is only in the driver side floor. Any one else with an ATS had a similar problem? I would appreciate the input. I am worried that this is not covered under the warranty. I yet to call the dealer, but it is extremely frustrating to spend all this time at the dealer as I had taken this car multiple times already for 5 different recalls. Not sure what to do here.

Make sure your front vents are draining. If they are clogged water will rise and come into the car through the vents.
The vents just behind the wiper area Lift the hood and you can see them. Check the drivers side to see if its draining.
Try the passenger side also. You should also discuss it with the dealership because they may have seen the issue before and know exactly what it is. You don't want your car to get musty inside if it happens again.

When you check see water is coming out of the heat duct. You can put some paper towel up there and just see if its wet after the rain and you will know where its coming in from.
The AC draining into the car is a possibility, If the tube pinched during assembly or inserted into the drip tray too far it could overflow.

There is at leas one TSB for this issue:

Finally I was able to pinpoint where the water leak is coming from. (see picture below). It rained last night and in the morning I went to my car and felt the floor and it was drenched with water again. I started looking around and noticed water dripping from the bottom corner of the dashboard right above the foot brake. It seems it is coming from inside the dashboard. I will be calling the dealer and taking it to them next week hopefully.

I'm guessing your wind shield may be leaking and its traveling down into the dash, but just a guess. Let us know what the dealer finds out and this picture should save them time trouble shooting. Take up your floor mat and dry that out fast using wet dry vac and towels. I also suggest a fan until it is dry all the way down to the floor boards so that it does not get musty. Once its very dry you can put the dry floor mat back in.

Also the drain must be pretty long and it may have been blocked low. Did they say how they un blocked it? My roof looks like a tight seal when its closed, I 'm surprised it would let that much water through.
Is there a different dealer in reasonable distance you can take it to? Can you cover the driver side of the windshield with a bag or tape over the seal to see if it stops. I would call/contact Cadillac customer service about both issues because the hesitation is not normal either. I could see there being minimal turbo lag if you punch it but hesitation no.

I'm a genius :)

They do. By greeting you they seem to have made a positive move in the right direction. If you are cool calm and collected you may find an SA that will be your advocate. Nothing beats an SA that listens and can articulate that to the Techs in the back and then has them explain what they did and then informs you when you pick it up. If not drive the extra 15 min

Sorry to hear that. Ask them to replace the entire windshield gasket. When you said they put sealer in one side that seemed like a half assed attempt to me especially since they told you they ordered parts?

I believe we live in the same region and that was a pretty steady rain yesterday and last night.
Great that its fixed and that you were pleased with the way it was handled.
