LS,

What's the meaning of "C" & "D" when talking about keys...? For a 1980 Cadillac Fleetwood Brougham d'Elegance.

Well, now I know:

Square Ignition keys, stamped "C"

Round Trunk keys, stamped "D"

It tells which style of key blank to use when getting duplicates made. There are other square and/or round key blanks available for GM. (e.g. "A", "B")

The keys for my '79 Phaeton say A & B (ignition and doors, respectively). ignition is rectangular, door is oval.

EDIT: Also, the set for my '90 Brougham say C & D, even though they look the same as A & B.
