No. If possible, use WMA files to make the CD, as MP3 is a lossy format (it won't sound quite as good as a "real" CD).

Nero handles the conversion for you when you choose "Audio CD".

MP3s will sound just fine too. it's one of those things that the human ear won't really be able to notice a difference on

There was a thread on the CTS newsgroup that talked about burning DVD audio disks. I think you can get many disks (12 or more) on a single DVD with album art and song titles. The images are single pictures on the disk, not an hour of video that allows the audio to fit. The thread went dead before anyone gave any real 'how to' information. A FAQ article on how to make one would be awesome.

The problem with a DVD audio disc is the inability to control it while the vehicle is in motion. Even the workaround of holding the seek button to enable DVD wideo playback while moving still doesn't allow you to change tracks while moving.

Since the (current) CTS doesn't support MP3 playback, the only options are to make a bunch of CDs in audio format or buy an iPod adapter kit.
