Going to start a bug/issues thread to track issues that anyone may be seeing. I don't think there's a way to report things other than through the dealer at the moment, but if anyone knows please chime in.
  • Nearby charging doesn't have accurate arrival state of charge. Always seems to indicate 0% or negative % on arrival, despite it definitely not being true. In this picture I have 50% charge remaining. The built in navigation does seem to report accurate % on arrival so I'm not sure what's going on.
    • Image
  • Charging on L2 always shows 0% as status. The light up top is green (flashing) so it is charging.
    • Image
  • Left side display is also inaccurate when on L2 charging. Always shows 0 hrs 00 min remaining.
    • Image
  • Occasionally the media display in the instrument will get stuck and not update. A power on/off cycle restores regular function.

Minor quibble:
  • There's a small knock/jerk/something when getting back on the accelerator after coming to a complete stop using the regen paddle. It's not completely smooth. Using the paddle to stop seems to engage auto hold, so I'm wondering if it's expected or it's something to keep an eye on.
  • The shortcut bar in the infotainment is limited and you can only add things from the main infotainment screen, so you can't add a sub-menu item as a shortcut. Within a menu, you can further add shortcuts. This means something like homelink is at least 2 presses away - 1 to bring up controls menu, 1 to hit the homelink shortcut within that menu.
  • When in reverse, you are stuck with the reverse camera views on the infotainment. You can't switch out to look at other cameras or bring up homelink to close gates/garage. You have to put it in park or drive before you can do anything else. Switching to drive after reverse will bring up the front camera view and in this case you are free to switch out. I imagine this gets better once the surround vision update is out.

If you have one-pedal 'on' or 'high' or use the paddle to stop the car completely, the friction brakes are engaged. Kinda like hold mode like you say. As a test, perhaps try not doing that (no paddle and one-pedal off), and use the regular brake to stop normally like a gas car. If the sensation goes away, it is likely due to the car releasing the friction brakes when you tap the accelerator.

The owner's manual kinda talks about something similar here...

I think I'm also missing something in the Trip Information panel. The other tabs show Current Trip, Trip 1, and Trip 2. I think this empty one used to show the overall average, but I'm not sure if I'm imagining it. Power on/off cycle doesn't restore it.

Isn't that frame supposed to be empty?

Something may have changed and/or I'm an idiot, I now have the ability to select other camera views in reverse. Note that only in drive do you get the "Exit" option to exit out of the camera views.

I agree that the Hyundai implementation of their 360 view is really quite good. I'm expecting something similar when the surround vision update comes.

Thanks for the pictures. Those look great, and it looks like there is plenty of room for a combined rear & 3D view, when 3D is ready. And the doofus who screwed up the HomeLink access is probably aready on it. o_O

Thanks for creating this thread btw. A few issues to add to this thread.
  1. Camera: when reversing this morning, there were no guidelines. Then when shifting to drive, the guidelines appeared on the front camera. Seems to have gotten into a weird state. This corrected after placing the vehicle in park then drive.
  2. Music not playing. The music was not playing from Apple play nor the radio. I could hear the simulated acceleration noise. Restarting by: turning the car off opening the door, and waiting 1 minute resolved the issue.
  3. Garage remote adding: I added the remote successfully yesterday, when I turned the car on today it was not there. I tried adding again and it would recognize the signal so I couldn’t add it.

Just hit this issue for the first time. No audio from any source and it seems the mics may have stopped too since Google assistant wasn't responding. Did a few on/off cycles and it started working again with no problems.

Thank you for starting this thread. If this keeps someone from buying the Lyriq I would argue had they bought it without this information they would have trashed the car in the forums and on social because they don't understand what buying new technology/first model year can entail even on ICE cars.

After reading so far and seeing many people having to "re-start" the car I am glad they put a dedicated Re-start...I mean start/stop button in the car for now. It will be nice if after the car gets to a relatively bug free build that you could bypass this button if you want to but having it, I think will be very convenient for the beta, I mean new owners of whom I am jealous because I don't get to play.

Cars without a start/stop button have other methods to force a reboot of the computer. Almost every modern EV needs a reboot now and then.

Took delivery this week of my DE, all in all, I am very pleased with it. A few minor quibbles, some of which have already been mentioned in this forum (but repeating so I don't think I am going crazy):
- Adding a home link garage door opener. The programming was straight forward, but this is one item that would have been much better with physical buttons. To open/close my garage door (something I do much more each day than any other function) requires 4 menu screens!!!! (Home, swipe, Controls, now I see the garage door icon) Tried to at least move it to the home screen (no go) this needs to be fixed ASAP!
-My wife and I use iPhones/Apple Car Play, there is an issue with wireless bluetooth that when the car connects to either of our phones, EVERYTHING is muted (XM, Apple Car Play, Voice commands, etc) This happened when I was taking delivery with the Cadillac team as well and it stumped them. The only fix that somethings works is to connect, turn off the car, turn on, then Apple CarPlay, XM, etc have mic and audio again.
-I added a Google account to the car and have yet to get Ok/Hey Google to respond to anything...seems like a party trick anyway when I can just press the Temp Up/down button rather than mess with it.
-The sensors for objects in front/back/stopping behind a car seem a bit aggressive....hopefully that improves a bit as well
-Everything else works well for me so far!! Love to have a way to directly submit bugs to the Cadillac Team but hopefully they read these forums

Random question... does anyone know if this is GM's first car that has HomeLink integrated in the computer versus hard-buttons on a mirror or visor? If so, then I bet they get it sorted out fast. (If not, then we are probably doomed to how all the other cars behave.)

Has anyone tried with Google Home integrated door openers? I usually just hit Google Assistant on my Android Auto in my current vehicle and tell it to close my garage door. Opening is slightly more steps since you have a pin command as well, but I use it all the time for closing.
I usually use Apple HomeKit to open close my garage, but these days voice commands are not working(neither Google nor Siri via CarPlay) in my lyriq.

Make sure there isn't anything else in the charger slot.

Wireless Charging
If equipped and enabled, the vehicle has
wireless charging in front of the center
console storage bin. The system operates at
145 kHz and wirelessly charges one Qi
compatible smartphone. The power output
of the system is capable of charging at a
rate up to 3 amp (15 W), as requested by
the compatible smartphone. See Radio
Frequency Statement 0 312.
{Warning
Wireless charging may affect the
operation of an implanted pacemaker or
other medical devices. If you have one, it
is recommended to consult with your
doctor before using the wireless charging
system.
The vehicle must be on, in accessory mode,
or Retained Accessory Power (RAP) must be
active. The wireless charging feature may
not correctly indicate charging when the
vehicle is in RAP, during a Bluetooth phone
call, or when phone projection (e.g. Apple
CarPlay / Android Auto) is active. See
Retained Accessory Power (RAP) .
The operating temperature is −40 °C (−40 °F)
to 85 °C (185 °F) for the charging system and
0 °C (32 °F) to 35 °C (95 °F) for the phone.
A charging stopped alert may be displayed
on the infotainment screen, if the wireless
charger or smartphone are outside of
normal operating temperature. Charging will
automatically resume when a normal
operating temperature is reached.
{Warning
Remove all objects from the charger
before charging your compatible
smartphone. Objects, such as coins, keys,
rings, paper clips, or cards, between the
smartphone and charger may become
very hot.
On the rare occasion that the charging
system does not detect an object, and
the object gets wedged between the
smartphone and charger, remove the
smartphone and allow the object to cool
before removing it from the charger, to
prevent burns.
To charge a compatible smartphone:
1. Confirm the smartphone is capable of
wireless charging.
2. Remove all objects from the charging
pocket. The system may not charge if
there are any objects between the
smartphone and charger.
3. Place the smartphone face up against
the rear of the charger.
To maximize the charge rate, ensure the
smartphone is fully seated and centered
in the holder with nothing under it.
A thick smartphone case may prevent
the charger from working, or reduce the
charging performance. See your dealer
for additional information.
4. A green ] will appear on the
infotainment display, next to the phone
icon. This indicates that the smartphone
is detected.
5. If a smartphone is placed on the charger
and ] turns off or a yellow triangle
appears, remove the smartphone and
any objects from the pocket. Turn the
smartphone 180 degrees and wait a few
seconds before placing/aligning it on the
pocket again.
6. If a smartphone is placed on the charger
and a red circle appears, the charger
and/or the smartphone is overheated.
Remove the smartphone and any objects
from the charger in order to cool the
system.
The smartphone may become warm during
charging. This is normal. In warmer
temperatures, the speed of charging may be
reduced.
For vehicles with wireless phone projection,
the smartphone may overheat during
wireless charging. The smartphone may slow
down, stop charging, or shut down to
protect the battery. The phone may need to
be removed from its case to prevent
overheating. The ] may flash while the
phone is cooling down enough for wireless
charging to automatically resume. This is
normal. Individual phone performance
may vary.

Yep, still as empty as the day I bought it :( I might wait a tad to schedule a service to see if a software update of some kind might take care of it as I also still have yet to ever get the in-car microphone to work via wireless bluetooth or if I don't have my phone with me...Google assistant...Almost feels like the microphone is not connected or something odd...

I've encountered one interesting bug after 2 days of owning my Lyriq. Today, the controls on the right side of the steering wheel stopped working. The audio volume switch wouldn't work and there was no response to pressing any of the buttons on the right side of the wheel. A quick restart of the car didn't work. I then shut off the car for a few minutes and when I restarted the vehicle, the buttons started working. They've worked fine now for several drive cycles.
