Well, we made it there (St. Louis) and back (SE WI), got a so so 19.8 mpg on the way and 22.9 on the way back (windy both ways) in the 94 Fleetwood Brougham. I was hoping for better, but EPA on the V4P car is 23 highway anyway.

My dad was inducted into the Silver Circle of the Emmy Awards for the Midwest Region (he has 3 Emmy's already, but retired last year). So, what better car to take to a black tie affair than the ultimate ride?? The Biggest Cadillac since 1976!! The Fleetwood Brougham!!!

It sure felt good to take a classy car like the Fleetwood Brougham, my dad and I in black tux's and my mom and wife in black dresses. No valet parking, I dropped them off and took it to park, as we had to get there early so my dad could rehearse for his presentations of the awards in his catagory.

Cool!!!!!

At first I didn't wanna take the Cadillac downtown St. Louis, fear it might get broken into or something. But I said, what the heck! This is a once in a lifetime event! Taking my dad to where he was getting honored for his dedication to photography (video) and the company for 35 years. (business over 40).

Chrysler rental car, Cadillac, rental? Cadillac. Hmmm..... Emmy's, Tux, classy place (St. Louis Union Station)

Cadillac!!!

I'm just a little confused--I know a bit about the "big" Emmy's, but what exactly was this even again?

There are Emmy awards for all regions of the US. It isn't just for movie stars. It is more for media like News organizations. Most people only see the "big" ones, but in reality they are the organization who recognizes the talents in the media industry. So like good news stories, or documentaries, or video photography, stuff like that.

Like here, http://election.cbsnews.com/stories/2002/02/25/earlyshow/saturday/main502031.shtml, my dad did the TWA Flight 800 story with Russ. It talks about the "...St. Louis Chapter of the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences and a 1989 Best Reporter honor from the Missouri UPI. "

It is a very big event, very much like what you see on TV, only not televised, so they don't have to play the TV game for commericals. Heck, it still took over 3 hours!
