Hello, My car is a 95 STS. I have a Brake Fluid leak coming from what looks like a Brake line Proportioning valve above the rear drivers side A Arm. Its a brass box that is the first thing the long line coming from the rear connects to. It has a steel plug with a hole in it screwed into one side, the ling line going to the front next to it and then a very short curved line going to the Rear drivers wheel coming out of the back.

What is this box? Can it go bad or is fluid coming out of it a sign of some other issue?

YES its the proportion valve. just had the same thing its kinda in a tucked up and away place. my mech fixed it for 250 :-( had to get the part direct from gm

i do belive your right, I had the same problem my mech ahd to order a proportioner valve from GM cost me about 250 i belive
