TURN THE RADIO OFF - AND UNPLUG THOSE SPEAKERS - NOW!

if you have a BOSE system - you MUST use the correct BOSE speakers -
OR a special - low-impedance - BOSE replacement speaker -

Yep - - - The Bose automotive sound systems - even their home audio systems - use special low impedance speakers matched to low drive impedance amp(s). Can be a real bitch to work on. To "upgrade" a Bose system requires total replacement - head unit, wiring, all speakers - and you must do it correctly or the car goes into content theft, TheftLock, and serial data bus failures.

Back during my part-time high end home audio salesman days we had a saying - "It's a Bose! No highs, no lows!".
