Hey I just got the new V :) 2009

One question....how do I set up Bluetooth ...? It was saying to press the right button on the steering wheel and then say "bluetooth setup" at the voice prompt. Thing is, when I press it, that just mutes everything... what am I missing?

Also, it has an aftermarket exhaust... anyone want to trade for a stock exhaust?

Not sure of the exhaust at the moment; i'll crawl under it tomorrow to look - there's no name on the exhaust tips, but it's LOUD at every throttle position... too loud for my tastes

I'm in Houston TX

The last CTS-V that I was driving, you had to press the voice prompt button, then say "hands free", then "bluetooth", then "pair" and follow the prompts. I think it was a 2010 and it wouldn't respond directly to "Bluetooth" from the "Ready" prompt.

Congrats on the new ride!!

From the 2009 Operator's Manual:

Pairing a Phone
1. Press and hold b g (button with telephone receiver & speak symbol) for two seconds:
• For vehicles without a navigation system,
the system responds with “Ready” followed
by a tone.
• For vehicles with a navigation system, the
system responds with a tone. After the tone
say “Hands Free”. The system responds
with “Ready” followed by a tone.
2. Say “Bluetooth”. The system responds with
“Bluetooth ready” followed by a tone.
3. Say “Pair”. The system responds with instructions
and a four digit PIN number. The PIN number will
be used in Step 4.
4. Start the Pairing process on the cell phone that will
be paired to the vehicle. Reference the cell phone
manufacturers user guide for information on
this process.
Locate the device named “General Motors” in the
list on the cellular phone and follow the instructions
on the cell phone to enter the four digit PIN number
that was provided in Step 3.
5. The system prompts for a name for the phone. Use
a name that best describes the phone. This name
will be used to indicate which phone is connected.
The system then confirms the name provided.
6. The system responds with “<Phone name> has
been successfully paired” after the pairing process
is complete.
7. Repeat Steps 1 through 7 for additional phones to
be paired.

Best regards,

Elie

Thanks for the help everyone. On the exhaust - i have no idea what kind of exhaust it is. It's VERY loud (a little too loud for my taste), but the tips have no markings on them. Crawled under the car with a flashlight and mirror, and there is nothing written on the mufflers either, except "inlet" at the exhaust inlet hole. Seems like there are a lot of weld marks at all the bends and turns, which lead me to think perhaps it's a full custom exhaust?

Will take it to a shop recommended by a friend on Monday.
