It's better to have music ready in your iPhone then play it. It should appear in the cue screen.
I have a 2015 escalade I don't have that software capacity in my truck . I use the Bluetooth and Sri for that. If you press the microphone icon on CUE you can ask Sri if you have unread messages it will read them back and ask you if you want to reply that's the only way it will work for me. I don't have the software update like in the 2105i . Oh well that's what I get for not waiting ! It's just I found the exact ESV I ordered months before 85 miles away from where I live and chose not to wait . It's ok no regretsCJd said:Thanks...got it working. It was a matter of starting the music at the iPhone first, rather than cue first. It automatically plays on cue. One more question. We can get texts to receive , and even read aloud, on cue. But, when we attempt to reply through cue it says "unable to send, phone may not support.". Is there a trick, or is the iPhone incompatible with outbound texts?
Also I know you want to stream your music wirelessly but if you have your phone plugged in your escalade you can excess your playlist and favorites in your iTunes just a thought.CJd said:I've looked for the phone in the media app, but can never see the iphone as an option. Do I have to start iTunes on the phone or something so it recognizes it?
i can only listen to the text. have tried the reply but haven't checked due to driving when it happens.Thanks...got it working. It was a matter of starting the music at the iPhone first, rather than cue first. It automatically plays on cue.

Yeah but remember I use Sri through the Bluetooth to accomplish this. Not through Cue .evois said:i can only listen to the text. have tried the reply but haven't checked due to driving when it happens.
