Press the audio icon on CUE then press the media button on cue it should play your downloaded music off your phone. It will also access your pandora app too. For those of us that have the plain old ( 2015 ) escalade no wifi. I have unlimited plan so it's ok.

It's better to have music ready in your iPhone then play it. It should appear in the cue screen.

This is correct....and....there is the issue of volume, which may or may not be related to the volume level that has been selected on the phone.....I've had that issue when using my networked phone or iPad to play music through my home stereo system.....seems like i have to crank up the volume on the system , then i discover that if i crank up the volume on the DEVICE i can lower the volume on the system....i suspect its the same in the vehicle. Different devices or phones are probably going to interact "differently".....but for me, its an iphone5s and it works nicely with the Escalade system.

Thanks...got it working. It was a matter of starting the music at the iPhone first, rather than cue first. It automatically plays on cue.

One more question. We can get texts to receive , and even read aloud, on cue. But, when we attempt to reply through cue it says "unable to send, phone may not support.". Is there a trick, or is the iPhone incompatible with outbound texts?

I have a 2015 escalade I don't have that software capacity in my truck . I use the Bluetooth and Sri for that. If you press the microphone icon on CUE you can ask Sri if you have unread messages it will read them back and ask you if you want to reply that's the only way it will work for me. I don't have the software update like in the 2105i . Oh well that's what I get for not waiting ! It's just I found the exact ESV I ordered months before 85 miles away from where I live and chose not to wait . It's ok no regrets

I've looked for the phone in the media app, but can never see the iphone as an option. Do I have to start iTunes on the phone or something so it recognizes it?
Also I know you want to stream your music wirelessly but if you have your phone plugged in your escalade you can excess your playlist and favorites in your iTunes just a thought.

My Platinum's Cue only connects to one of our cell phones.
Most of the time it is mine.
I think the bluetooth connects to the first one to get into the car.
I do know that the driver's seats respond to my wife's settings if she gets in the car first.
And the seat moves forward crushing me.
If I open the door and shut off the engine, the seat will go to exit position.

most of the time the car responds to me if I am in the drivers seat and to my iPhone.
my wife's is ignored if she gets a call and I have to turn down the radio volume.
