Blowing the fuse for the inj/coil for the even bank of cylinders Codes P0202-P0208

The car is 2007 4.6. It started running rough, but it would stay running, even at idle, and the service stabilitrak was on.

Ran the codes:

P0202 - Powertrain
Injector Circuit Cylinder 2
P0204 - Powertrain
Injector circuit - cylinder 4
P0206 - Powertrain
Injector Circuit Cylinder 6
P0208 - Powertrain
Injector Circuit Cylinder 8
P0300 - Powertrain
Random/Multiple Cylinder Misfire Detected

I checked the fuse box and discovered that the inj/coil fuse was blown for the even bank cylinders. I put a new one in and it blew that one too. I took apart the fuse box and everything looked fine, no corrosion.

I pulled off the engine cover and did not find any apparent wiring problems, I could be looking in the wrong place. I tightened all the intake maniflold bolts, some where fairly loose.

Evidently there is a short somewhere, any ideas on where to start tracking this down?

Thanks
Mike

The easiest way without tracing each wire. Unplug the coil and injector on each cylinder one at a time until the fuse doesn't blow. The when you isolated the cylinder plug in the injector if the fuse holds then the coil is bad or the wiring is damaged. You will go through some fuses but you will know which cylinder is the problem and either fix it yourself or tell the mechanic to reduce labor cost tracking down the issue.

Thanks for the input on where to start. So, you think that a coil or an injector could be causing the the whole bank to short out? I assume that if the key blows the fuse, that would mean that it is a short in the wiring? If it blows the fuse when it is running it should be a coil or injector shorting out?

Again, thanks for the help and the wiring diagram. I will follow up when I find the problem.
