i replaced the burned out blower motor on my brougham expecting it to work again. it still doesnt, and i found out its not getting any power, why would this be/what would cause this.

If in fact, the blower motor was fried, then the obvious answer is a blown fuse. If the fuse is ok, then I would suspect the blower control module above the blower motor which supplies voltage to the motor. Simply verify voltage with a test light at the fuse and module.

No blower on all speeds or "not high" only?

Listen to carnut - he knows what he's talking about. It's a very common Cadillac failure item. Buy one (or two) from a junkyard - pull it yourself places will sell them for about 10 bucks each. The new modules are kind of pricey.
