It doesn't cost them a nav unit----the radios/nav units are on an exchange only. When it gets replaced, it is a refurbished unit---they are not going to put in a BRAND NEW one in for a button. They are rebuilt by SPECMO Industries for my dealer. Hope this helps,CVP33 said:Very common problem, even with the CTS-V owners as well. Mine was replace last month. Amazing that paint peeling off a button costs GM an entire NAV unit plus the labor to install. IDIOTS! And they wonder why they lost money last quarter?
Doesn't look bad, but my chip is much bigger. I couldn't use a sharpie because the chip penetrates beyond the N in NAV.jteolis said:Here's how the sharpie did. Granted I only had a small chip on the button, but it works in this application.
The round selector knobs are available seperately... It doesn't require replacing the entire radio assembly...70eldo said:same problem here. Mainly the right round selector button. Since that one has no text on it, I was thinking of spraypainting it. Just looking for the right color...
Can I pop out that button?
Just pull it off. I have the same problem on mine. Will have to test the Hungarian Cadillac dealership.70eldo said:same problem here. Mainly the right round selector button. Since that one has no text on it, I was thinking of spraypainting it. Just looking for the right color...
