I guess the fact I can't tell the difference without looking REALLLLLYYYYY hard means I made the right choice not spending the money.

I can tell instantly.

Potholes can tell without looking.

I have a vehicle with even lower profile tires and have had zero problems. Maybe I'd be concerned if I drove a lot in winter areas that are prone to pot holes, but I don't.

My son had a used Volvo C70 with low profile tires as his first car. In the two years he drove it, he had 4 flats due to road hazards, all of them through the sidewalls. So I guess YMMV.

"Low profile" covers a lot of different sidewall heights.

The Lyriq 22" rims have 275/40R22 tires. Those have sidewalls that are 4.3" high. Not really "low profile".

A truly low profile example would be 225/30R20 which only have a 2.7" high sidewall.

Obviously, the Lyriq profile would be much less likely to suffer from a road hazard than the 2.7" example. The 22" Lyriq tires have 59% higher sidewalls than the truly low profile example.
