Since the 3 piece wheels weigh a lot less, could you get away with keeping the stock brakes, on like 26"? Cause isnt it the weight that makes it harder to stop, not the size of the wheel right?
its more because of the weight that makes them hard to stop (rotating mass). you should still upgrade your brakes no matter what 26" wheel (24" too) you get IMO.
coming from someone who has 26" 3 piece wheels on his truck. And previously owned 24" 3 piece wheels. 3 piece wheels are a lot lighter than 1 piece but essentially you still need new brakes. My brakes are upgraded to the same size but rotora slotted. and they basically suck. stopping is a task, and my brakes squeek constantly. I'm saving money now to buy 18" big brakes from rotora and hopefully can get those within the next month.
Any pictures of these 3 piece wheels????? I always thought they would be heavier. I have several friends with Simons on there cars and boy you through out you back lifting one of them, and they are only 17" in size..
Pic's would be nice..
