I have several, but for some reason I feel I needed to give a nod to the mid-nineties Toyota Supra. That car STILL looks exotic today, several years after it was pulled from the market.

This is going to look a lot like my lists of favorite 60s and other cars.

For me, forget Harley Earl (sorry, Jesda); Bill Mitchell was the genuis behind some of the most beautiful cars ever built. If he could have lived forever, GM might have never lost more than half of their market share. Among the milestone cars that came out of his studio:

'63-65 Buick Riviera (Mitchell's masterpiece)
'63-67 Chevrolet Corvette Sting Ray
'66 Olds Toronado
'65 Chevrolet Corvair
'70 1/2 Chevrolet Camaro Rally Sport (I read somewhere that the second-generation Camaro "looked liked it was designed by an Italian on a good day.")
'67 Cadillac Eldorado
'75-79 Cadillac Seville

Except for the Riviera, I don't believe Mitchell himself did the actual design work (I think Larry Shinoda did the Corvette and Dave North (?) did the Toronado. But nothing came out of GM design in that era without his stamp of approval.

Other classics I like are the '68 Dodge Charger, preferably in black like the bad guys' car in Bullitt, the '55-57 Thunderbird and '66 Mustang fastback. I'm also partial to any '60s Impala. And among imports, I love the Mercedes SL, particularly the gull-wing models and the Jaguar E-Type.

Modern beauties include:
'95-99 Buick Riviera
'92-97 Cadillac Seville
'94-99 Oldsmobile Aurora
'98 Jaguar XK8
'99 Honda Accord coupe (I had one and miss it; beautiful car)

Probably some more, but those are the ones that come to mind for now.

If it was he should have been shot

those things are fugly. It looks like he gave up when he got to the back.

LOL!! My uncle said that he thought it looked like that car was rear ended when it was new. He was 17 when this car came out in '80. They're a good looking car, just a wierd design for Cadillac because it's not long and boxy.

Looks great until you get to the C pillar :p

I just dont liek the style of that back end, its a discord, there are square, Cadillac lines at the front, and then there are all these curves at the back. Looks like a chop LOL

yes, the '59s are VERY american in that sense of the excess of everything that was true in the late '50s. You could say that the 1959 Cadillac Eldorado was the quintessential '50s american car! I would have to say my favorite car from the late '50s is the 1958 Lincoln Continental Mark III
