I got some new white-walls at Firestone yesterday and they told me I had a bent strut and it couldn't be aligned.

What should I expect to pay for electric vs passive struts?

I only see rear struts at rockauto and autozone only has passive struts.

:hmm:

Firestone has quoted me $621.76 for front passive struts installed and alignment. I don't think this includes the relay but I'm going to try to get it to.

The parts from Arnott are $402 so that doesn't sound like a bad deal to me.

What do y'all think?

I PMed you my VIN. Can you get a price for the mounts, too, please?

Thanks for your help!

I would have got it looked at by a 2nd shop before jumping on parts. Some garages are notorious for trying to sell shocks and struts when they aren't needed.

I had the strut mounts on mine done a couple years ago. It made the front end feel a bit better and got rid of some of the squeaking noises I was getting but didn't solve the real problem why they were done to begin with.

This isn't the first shop I've taken it to for this.

I had them installed at Meineki for about $300. They said the allignment was WAY off, which I knew, and they got the front straightened out.

The back is a fraction of a percent off in one direction but it's pretty good. Like riding on a cloud.

I was very happy to do business with Rippy Cadillac and plan to call them again when I do the back struts.

:)
