I have a 2006 CTS V with the LS-2 that was supercharged by a previous owner. The belt tensioner that is on it needs to be replaced but Nobody can come up with the same thing I have. When adding a supercharger to a first gen CTS V LS-2, is there a specific belt tensioner that is commonly used?

No, it wasn't - the first generation were N/A LS6s and LS2s.

That's a Magnuson supercharger kit. They have a bunch of tensioners listed on their website, so you can start there. I would guess that they use an OEM part repurposed for their kit, so it may be possible to find the tensioner cheaper; I'll update your thread title to be more specific in the hopes that your fellow "Maggie" owners will see this thread and chime in.
Thank you!
I’ll check Magnuson and follow up afterwards.

Yes! I went to Magnuson’s website and found the exact belt tensioner that I have, offered separately for the 1st gen CTS-V that has a Magnuson supercharger. It’s apparently included in their kit for supercharging this early LS-2.
No wonder I couldn’t find it at parts stores or dealerships.
Thanks, again.

If anyone needs individual parts for a Magnuson supercharger kit, they will direct you to a company that sells their small parts:

The complete belt tensioner kit is $199 but I was able to get just the tensioner for $80.
I know, if they’d have told me what vehicle the “repurposed” tensioner was originally designed for, I could have gotten one cheaper at an auto parts store but I’m not complaining.
