I tried opening my door the other day and my remote did not work, thought darn just replaced it less than a year ago, changed it the still wouldn’t unlock doors, got my Denali and tried jump starting, did not work either, got enough charge for my alarm to go off and gauge to appear, but not enough to start.
Vehicle sat since March, going to get another battery

We spent a year RV’ing around the country, and left the Escalade with our college son. He killed 2 batteries in a year by never driving it. These cars do drain the battery slowly while sitting idle. They need to be driven at least once a month. Once a battery goes completely dead, it is permanently damaged. Any time after that is borrowed time.

I don't drive my ESV much, and when I do, it's short trips. I have gone through 3 batteries already. Now I have it on a battery tender when I'm not driving.
