[Gotta stop PM'ing guys here when my inbox is full. :banghead: ]

Anyway, a few of us have been doing this every year for the last five or so years. JD03Cobra and Den_93 have consistently been there plus me.

Anybody else want to join us? Baker's Restaurant is just south of Milford (Mich) on Milford Rd. This is within a few stones' throw of the GM Proving Ground, btw. Every Sunday all summer long they have a free car show, and it's "show what you brung" with all kinds of outstanding cars from hot rods to classics to late models to things that are only barely street legal. Hundreds of cars.

Come on out! I plan to be there from about 11:15 am to about 1:30 pm weather permitting. Hope to see some of you guys! Nice restaurant, too, so bring the wife/gf and the kids.

I'm planning on being there unless my kids sports get in the way. I'll know more in 2 weeks.

Randy - Tried to respond but your inbox...yeah

Yeah, had no idea the darn thing was full. Sorry 'bout that.

Your kids still doing soccer? I'll be they're fun to watch! I'd be doing that, too ... don't blame you one bit.

We have one little area we tend to gravitate to each time, and we almost always can park either right next to each other or a spot or two away. Of course, it depends on when you get there, too.

Here's last year:

I'll be missing it this year. We will have to meet up later. FYI, Milford Rd will be under-construction to widen it to 4 lanes.

Doesn't look like Bakers is happening the first weekend. See below.

From the Oakland Country Road Commission.

"The project involves resurfacing this 3.8 mile section of Milford as well as adding a center left-turn lane from Lakefield Street to Country Court and at other intersections within the project, improved drainage, base repair and paving the shoulders for improved safety.
The road is expected to be completely closed the weekend of May 1-3, weather permitting, so the Arthur Drain culvert can be replaced.
All lanes are expected to be opened by Sept. 2, with the project completed in November."

Good news for me, perhaps I'll be able to make it after all!

Same situation for me...Marking it on my calendar now.

Depends on weather for me. Weatherman says 85 deg and overcast ... no rain, so as of now I'm a 'go.'

Actually, I'll be there earlier than I originally thought ... maybe around 10:00 am.

Five of us showed, though I did see another V2 heading north on Milford Rd as I left southbound. Don't know if he/she pulled in or not. Weather was perfect, but crowd was rather light.

Interestingly, all five of our cars are manuals, no ATs.

As I mentioned earlier, stuff comes that you don't know how they get a license plate to drive on public roads. Owner told me that fully fueled with him in this thing it weighs 2,000 lbs. It's got a 383 stroker and 530 hp (535 or some such number).
