Anyone have any pictures of their cars with badges removed? Particularly the rear cadillac reef if anyone has removed it.

can't remove that one unless you get the holes shaved. That was the first thing I was going to do. But until I want to take it to a body shop, it stays. So I just removed the CTS lettering on the trunk.

Not bolted, it has locator pegs/pins. Three holes for the wreath and two for the Caddy crest. BTDT.

No just the reef and caddy symbol, you can remove the CTS and all three Vs.

I prefer the look of a sleeper and I also like the clean look that a car has without badges. My Volvo S60R is de-badged.

Oh, then you should get some dog dish hub caps on 14" or 15" wheels and some nice bias ply tires to give it that real convincing sleeper look..

I was parked next to an M5 and a V12, I think Mercedes, really did not look... went into a tint shop to check prices and even though three guys came out to look at the car ...none knew of the V . and these guys work with upscale cars day in day out.

Since no one made a comment, I thanked them for the pricing on tint and such.. and drove away.

I have yet gone to any place that actually knew of the V . Seems to me the stealth is there, why deface the V ?

Because when someone does know the car and sees that the car is made to have a more subtle, modest look, it gets appreciated that much more.

You are going to lower your freeway “pecking order” status by removing the badges. You’ll get more guys in civics, etc. assuming that they can beat you to the merge or into the next lane….

Who cares... let the guy debadge to his hearts content if that's what he likes. I lowered my car and got slammed from people on here as to why I would do such a thing. I asked how to turn off TC/YC and got repremanded for being in high school.
It amazes me how people want to slam others' ideas because they don't like the idea themself. I would not remove the V badges myself, but someone else doing it to his own car is great if that's what he likes.
Anyways, I'm done with my rant. cars are a personal expression, so let him express himself how he sees fit.

On a side note, I did love 4gear70's reply... that was hilarious!!

Why would you remove the V logo? Anyone smart enough to know their significance would also be able to tell that you're not driving a regular CTS. Unless you find a way to make the power dome on the hood turn invisible too. :tisk:

Correct, anyone smart enough to know will know it's a V, so what difference does it make?

I also usually debadge the cars i have.......that clean look as the op said..


but in my opinion the V and cadillac crest shows pride in American workmanship.....
i will however remove the cts......

Also the V and the crest are classy...... looking for smooth line in an angular car..... I'd bet no M driver takes off the M badge...
