1994 SLS. After reading a couple other posts on here I'm pretty sure I've got a bad water pump. Overheating message, no coolant loss, and when I start it up cold I believe I can hear a noise from the waterpump that subsides after a few minutes. Does this sound like a bad waterpump? If so, any tips on changing it and should I change anything else while I'm at it ? (belt, thermostat, tensioner, etc...) Thanks.

Check the belt tensioner pulley. WP's never make noise. They leak when they fail. If the pump is turning and you're overheating, check the purge line. If that's clear and flows coolant, do a block test before replacing any parts.
