Hi All,

Just purchased a 99 Devile a few days ago. Although high mileage (161,000), it is in excellent condition and runs perfect. Everything was going fine until it rained yesterday. Had water running down the driver's pillar and had standing water in the footwell. Any suggestions as to what I can look for as the culprit ?

Thanks !

Does it have a sunroof ?? If it does, there are 4 drain hoses, 1 at each corner of the roof assembly pan. Get a 6 foot length of weedwhacker .080" monofilament line and carefully "rod out" the drain tubes. Careful......push one of those tubes off the pan spigot (if its not off already) and it's headliner removal time.

Common problem. Then clean and preserve the black gasket with some weatherstripping silicone grease. Don't overdo it.

If it doesn't have a sunroof, windshield seal. Look at the info etched in the lower passenger corner of the windshield and try to guess if the windshield is original GM or aftermarket.

Thanks !

no sunroof and according to carfax, no accident. The door seems to fit like it should. very tight and no windnoise.
I will check the windshield. Actually, the headliner above the drivers door was damp almost halfway back from the windshield and the water was literally running down the pillar between the door and windshield.
