This is just one of many problems. P/N switch warning readout kept coming up. Ran test per shop manual and came up with 3 bad numbers, Park read 0110 instead of 0111, Neutral read 1010 instead of 1011 and 3rd read 0000 instead of 0001. No problems starting. My question, would this impede the cars ability to move. It has the engine power, it just won't get and go

does it start in Neutral?

my PRNDL switch is acting up, only thing it does is it wont start in N.

So the engine runs, but when you put it in gear, it dosn't go?

it very well could be the PRNDL switch, it is tlling the computer it isn't in gear when it really is... if that was the case, I would first replace the switch.

The PRDNL switch is really easy to replace. It is on the top of transmission right under the master cylinder reservouar. Actually, all it might need is adjustment. The procedure takes some 5 minutes and is discribed in the FSM.
