About 2 months ago the caddy dealer said I needed to replace both wheel hubs on the front. The passenger side has been riding rough for about 3 years, ever since I hit one of the "manholes" that sit about 3-5" high when they're about to repave the road. I've had at least 3 alignments since this has happened. I recently replaced the front passenger side wheel hub. My problem is that I feel every bump on the front passenger side, seems as if the wheel is just hopping around. I've recently had the tires road forced balance & they checked out to be fine. If I stand in front of the car & press down on the front driver side it bounces just once, pressing down on the passenger side it bounces up 2-3 times. Every shop I take it to says the struts are fine & I should just replace my driver side wheel hub.

That does NOT sound like a hub problem. "feeling every bump and bouncing 2-3 times" sounds more like struts to me.

:yeah:
Not a hub.... could be strut easliy. The last contruction manhole I hit cost me a tire, I bent a sway bar on another one and ripped the frt airdam clean off while I was at it.

Ok guys thanks for the feedback. I think I will go with the Monroe 90014 kit. I see it's not in the picture but I do believe this kit comes with the coil springs?? Will I need to install the resistors I've read about in other post?

Yes, you will need to install the resistors, or else you will get a "Service Stability System" message.

Wow, that is an amazing price for the Monroe 71685. I still have active front struts, but when I do eventually need to change them, I will definitely consider these.

the 90014 kit comes with everything EXCEPT springs -

if you want the complete strut assembly WITH the spring -
Monroe 171685 - $117.25 each -
rockauto.com -

NOTE -
the springs currently on your car are the "stiffer" - FE3 - DTS springs -

the new springs in these complete strut assemblies -
and ALL aftermarket springs for that matter -
are based on the "softer" FE1 - DHS model and base model Deville -

so the car will ride softer - I just want YOU to be clear about this -

IF you decide to go with the complete strut assembly -
with the "softer" springs -

you might consider also replacing the rear springs
when you replace the rear shocks -

the MOOG 81011 is a perfect match -
$54.79 for the PAIR -

then you will have the comfortable ride of a DHS in your DTS - :cloud9:

Also, to add to what basscatt had already said, if you do install the complete strut assembly, the car will sit slightly higher since the springs are taller. Keep that in mind because the look of your DTS will change with the FE1 springs. So if you like the sporty lower look of your DTS, then change only the struts and not the springs along with it.
