Here's the short story. my neighbor drove across my yard and hit my 18 ats-v in early May. Its still not repaired due to one back-ordered part, Front Passenger Side Wheelhouse Liner - GM (84088407). 7 months and still no ETA.
I've checked with several GM part suppliers, no luck.

Does anyone know where someone has one sitting on their shelf?

used may have to do till a NOS one can be found. I'm hearing "Sadly there is no stock nation wide and no stock from GM for me to order." from everyone i've checked with. I can always replace it when the back-order is resolved.

I faced a similar issue earlier this year with the Lower Grill, it was basically never going to be in stock for the foreseeable future. I eventually contacted GM directly in my own and they assigned someone to sourcing one for me. It still took them a couple of months to find one, 6 months total for my car being out of commission from a front end collision.

if a dealer can’t source one or you can’t find a good used example I’d reach out to GM directly. They hold these cars to a high standard.

I ordered a right front rim for my 16 back in March after a little curb contact. Wasn't terrible but I got tired of it reminding me of my carelessness. The dealer called me this past Thursday to inform me that it finally came in. Nine months. Hope it doesn't take you that long to locate your part. 🤞

Maybe see if the non-V part can be made to fit and use that until you can find the correct V part?

Or cadillacheaven.com, as suggested above. Or maybe try Cleveland Power & Performance - clevelandpap.com - they seem to specialize in salvage part-outs of high performance cars (Vs, Camaros, Mustangs, Vettes, etc).

I would be surprised if they were different parts knowing how cheap GM can be sometimes.

Front wheel liners are different on the V cars as the fenders are wider than the non-V cars and they also have the cutout for the intercooler heat exchanger vent/grille.

Parts supply sucks right now regardless of brand. Best bet for now is probably scour ebay and possibly LKQ or Copart for a used one and install that until the new one arrives.

I have a Honda Accord that's been sitting 98% done at the body shop for 10 weeks now after a minor accident because they're waiting for a backordered headliner to finish the job. Roof rail airbags went off in the fender bender and trashed the headliner, and the headliner will only make it in or out of the interior if you remove the front or rear glass... so the car sits at the body shop with the back window pulled out waiting for a headliner. Body shop can't finish the car and get the final payment from the insurance until the headliner is in, otherwise I would just have them install the back window and drive it without a headliner until it arrives... Argh.

Of course with my luck, 3 days after I would ask them to reinstall the back window so I could take the car the backordered headliner would show up...

I expected they would be different to accommodate the intake piping, and now that I think about it, I guess the fenders are flared more than "normal".

Damm, decent thought. I was hoping (of course, not as much as you were).

Sorry, I was a Ford guy...
Back in the day I had contacts that would pull from production for me but that ship sailed probably 25 years ago!
