Back With a New, Old Friend...

Well... It's been a few months, but I'm back (to the chagrin of some, I'm sure!) and with a "new," yet very familiar (albeit, much upgraded) addition to the lineup.

I wasn't "actively" looking, but the wife and I were out the other evening when we came across a 2003 Seville STS... Long story short, the price and mileage were right and I just couldn't help myself. It's White Diamond with a Tan interior and loaded to the hilt with the factory navigation system and all.

So anyway... Just thought I'd stop by and say hello to everyone. I'll try to take some pics sometime tomorrow and put them up.

Hope all has been well with everybody!

Nice find! I upgraded to a 2001 Seville SLS last month, also in White Diamond, and I love it. Amazing car (but then you already knew that).

Good to see you back Adam! You've got my favorite post 2000 Cadillac! :)
Beware of the Geico squirrels.
Nice to see you back! How does it compare to you're '02 SLS ride and handling wise?
Congratulations on finding the STS, my friend. How do you like the twenty-five extra horsepower?

He's probably got Magnaride now, so that's not as big of an issue lol.

SORRY ADAM, I HAD TO DO IT. :)
Magnaride allows you to kill squirrels more easily.
Even though I'm still getting reacquainted with it... It's kind of strange actually. There's a definite familiarity there... A lot of things feel very, very similar to the SLS, but at the same time just a little bit different.

I can't quite put my finger on it.

To be honest... I can't really notice the extra 25 horses, since the "rush" of the power seems very similar, but then again, it's been a little over a year since I've been in the SLS. However, I can say that I do notice a slight difference in the way it delivers the power - the shifts are definitely more aggressive. Plus, it does feel more composed all around, which I suspect owes thanks in no small part to the Magnaride suspension... It seems to "eat" up the road much more effortlessly.

On the inside, again everything feels very familiar. The SLS had the wood appearance package so that's the same. However, the sunroof and the navigation system just make the whole cabin feel different.

Speaking of which, the car came with all of the original documentation except of course, for the Navigation supplemental manual. So I've been having to have a go at it blind. Thankfully, so far it seems fairly intuitive... I've been able to clear out the original owner's information and enter in some of my own, but I know there's still quite a bit to do with it that I haven't figured out yet.

It just feels really good to be back in the driver's seat of a Seville. The dealer also had a couple of CTSs on the lot and we did take one out for a spin, but it just wasn't my cup of tea. In terms of overall luxury and power, they seemed like a step down from the STS, despite having slightly higher sticker prices.

Either way... It's good to be "home." ;)

No worries Chad...

Maybe my time away was for the better, it's helped me to just completely ignore the old, flatulent one. :yup:
Welcome back, Adam. Sounds like a sweet car. You used to piss and moan about the STS being nothing great.

Thanks Jesda.

The trim badge played very little in the decision... I bought another Seville. I still stand by all of my original bemoaning... Like I said, any of the differences are slight and for the very large part - it's the same car. If anyone comes and asks for an opinion between the two, I'll still say everything I used to. Only now, I'm in a better position to reaffirm it all ;)

But like I said... It is good to be home.
Wow, that is about the best iteration of the Seville you could possibly get and in one of the best colors, Congrats. Just promise me you will retain your objectivity and not become a Northstar apologist.
Hey -- good to see you back. Congrats on the new Caddy, it sounds like a great buy.

Very nice. It's getting harder and harder to find lower mileage 2003s.
Oh Jeez Adam, that's divine!!! Such a great color combination and CLEAN AS A WHISTLE!!!!

What's it got for options? F55 right?
Absolutely stunning. White Diamond is a timeless, classy color on Seville's. How do you like it vs. the Sterling Silver you had before?

42k?! That's insane! Hope you enjoy it!
