Some times new hubs come with new axle nuts but can be a mm difference from OE .... 35 mm vs 36 mm or vice versa. In which case you can reuse your orginal ones. Parts stores such as O'Reillys may even rent an axle nut socket set. I haven't changed the front hubs yet on my Envoy but decided to buy a socket. I bought both a 35 and 36mm and returned the one that didn't fit.... namely the 35.
In the case of the Envoy it was suggested to avoid Chinese hubs often found cheaply on ebay. Timken seemed to be the brand of choice for longevity.

Got it! It was a 35, thanks!
Now having some trouble with the ball joint separator #27020. Any pictures on how to use it would be great. I'm using a hammer but still can't separate.

If you're doing the rear, you don't need to remove ball joint. Support car on frame and let suspension hang down, use 18mm box end on top 2 bolts and 3/8 drive short 18mm 6 point socket w/ extensions and an increaser to 1/2 drive for leverage on bottom bolt. You will have to wrench these all the way out as they have loctite on them. As you back out the bolts, keep moving the hub outwards to give more room to work. Be sure to use locktite on re assembly and have wheel on ground when installing axle nut to protect differential.

Use wrench from the top. You only get about 30 degree swing.

That's where you use the shorty socket w/ extensions.
