I'm considering a 2009 cts-v and would like to see what most here have gotten them for. I like that there is no markup so that is a plus and I have a good connection at williamson cadillac.

Anyways, I would like a manual 6-spd, Nav and maybe the recaro's which should put me in the $65,000.00

Have anyone here gotten then for under msrp?

Your price is pretty close to sticker on my auto with nav and no recaros.

Scott at Superior Cadillac can do MUCH better than that.

He saved me around $8K over the other dealers I talked to.

+1 on Scott, I bought from him as well.

You're in Miami, try Cadillac Tony as well, he's right in your neck of the woods.
Actually, if you want to make this as easy as possible, I believe that Matt Reiland, who is a regular on this forum, can get you supplier pricing right now. And while it isn't quite the discount that employee pricing is, it's still absolutely awesome and requires no haggling.

Once you get a supplier pricing number, all you need to do then is find a dealer willing to honor that pricing and you're home free.

That's the way I'd do it...
I was in Miami 2 weeks ago. Braman Cadillac. They said they'd sell me the loaded thunder grey for GMS. for me thats a hair over 62k. Since I was in the area I looked up cadillac tony and he looked to be a couple of hours away. Talk to Suzette.
Yet another Z06 brother looking to make the jump

I don't have any Manual Trans cars in stock at the moment, but would be glad to order one for you at the Supplier Price number. Just get a code from MReiland and give me a call.

Perfect...

This is exactly how to do it (at least, in my mind).

I live in So Cal and was glad to pay for the shipping costs to bring the car to me from Scott at Superior Cadillac (in MI) because I had saved so much (and he had the car in stock, so...:D)

(Although the car was 100% stock, I STILL had to have it smogged under the highly dubious, if not pure horsesh*t, idea that the dealership/Superior Cadillac might have modified it before sending the car to me...sometimes I love the stupid smog rules out here... :banghead:)

Tony and Scott...it's a pleasure having you two contribute to the forum as much as you do. :worship:
Luna,

I have been looking for a loaded Thunder Gray. I see you ordered from Superior. You're in SoCal? Symes in Pasadena has what I want. are they marking them up crazy in SoCal like here in NorCal? Just wondering since I qualify for GMS (yeah I know I could call them) and some dealers just laugh at it. Wife gave me the green light - you know how it is. Been dying for a V for a while now.

My experience has been yes, they have. I know of a few that aren't, but many, many are. I know that my local dealer, which I have a good relationship with, does and they wouldn't budge, even for a good customer. I was subsequently told, however, that they weren't being allocated many Vs (like, say, 3 for the year or something) and, as such, they didn't want to let them go at a "bargain."

As such, I wouldn't hesitate to get a car from Scott or Tony. Granted, you will have to pay for shipping (say, $1k) and you'll have to have it smogged (like $50 and the hassle at DMV), but it's still very much worth it in my humble opinion.
If you can live without the Recaro seats, I have a loaded Thunder Gray Automatic in stock. Not only does it have everything except the Recaros, I also got it before the price increase- that means it's about $1,000 less than any one you'll find on other lots that arrived recently.

Give me a call, and we can have it on a truck to you as soon as payment clears- no waiting.

If you don't mind me asking...what did you end up paying out the door? And what were the shipping charges? Thanks for any help...

I honestly can't recall how much that was, I'll have to look it up. I was in a window where GMS pricing was available and was fortunate enough to get it. Sans recaros, it's a loaded, black, CTS-V (okay, it doesn't have the block heater, but I don't really count that option...) at GMS pricing; there was no negotiation beyond that point. Thanks M. Reiland & Scott at Superior... :worship:

As far as shipping goes, I went with AmeriFreight and shipped the car in a closed container from Michigan to So Cal (no way was I going to have the car exposed while making that trip). It was slightly more than $1k for shipping; well worth it when getting such a good deal, to say nothing about avioding all the negotiating B.S. that is typically a part of purchasing a car.

Another minor drawback of purchasing a car from outside CA...you have to get the car smogged. It's super cheap (like $50), but the hassle at the DMV was really stupid. My favorite was that I had to have the car at the DMV so they could inspect it.

When challenged as to why (I had documentation saying that the car is smog legal, so this seemed very interesting to me...) I was told, "So we can check and see if the car is smog legal."

"Really?" I said.

"That's interesting. Do you have a smog station on site or something?"

"No, we just LOOK at the car..."

:annoyed::banghead:

Oh, sh*t...I didn't know it was that easy to determine if a car was smog-legal or not. I mean, heck...what am I paying the guy at the smog station for? He doesn't even need to hook it up to measure exhaust fumes!!
