never available never will be i think, its a safety thing
I just bought a 2003 STS last Friday. It has 'Express Up' for both front windows. I think this is what you're referring to?
That is what im referring to thu. I remember some talk awhile back about possibly making a car that doesnt have it, have it. Something about the actual board having contacts for it. But anyway Im looking at a switch panel on ebay from an 01' Seville. Id like to have that option. But maybe its only 03-04?

If there is a way to do it, I'd only say to be careful with the fingers of unsuspecting friends and kids. The Catera had auto-up on all four windows. It had a resistance sensor, so that you couldn't crush fingers, and god-knows-what else, as the window traveled up to close. If you can convert your STS, I doubt you'd have this resistance sensing feature. Just my 2 cents. Good luck.
No worry about kids as I dont have any. But id only want the front windows to have this feature. So if I could get my hands on an 03 master window switch that would be great.

My '02 has the express windows also. All four are express down, and the two fronts, are also express up. So your search years have just expanded. Maybe someone with an '01 will chime in.

That's right, they tend to have the 'resistance sensor' feature. If it detects something preventing the window from closing completely, it will open the window to a factory preset position. The rocker switch has five positions:

Express Open
Open Window
Inactive
Close Window
Express Close
Seems like you'd be putting quite a bit more effort into adding this feature than you ever would manually holding the switch...
My 01 SLS has express up on both front windows, and express down on all four.
Hey Mack, check this site out, http://www.trademotion.com/partlocator/index.cfm?action=getLocator&siteid=213761&chapter=DP1NE0&appSectionid=3&groupid=10005&subgroupid=20061&componentid=62136&make=5&model=Seville&year=2003&catalogid=1 maybe this will help you out, it's the same one that was used from 2001 to 2004. I bought some stuff from this place (dealership in CA) already, they helped me out alot with what I needed. I searched 2003 Seville, this is the best that I thought would help you. Try giving them a call, they seemed to be real knowledgable... I hope they would be... in helping you find what you want and answer your questions. Good luck.
This is for the same site but for the ones from 98-00... http://www.trademotion.com/partloca...36&make=5&model=Seville&year=2000&catalogid=1 Good luck again.
Thanks all for replies! Hey Mac... Checked that site. They want $72 for the master switch. Good to year 01's have it. Ill see what happens and let you guys know.

My LR window switch was broken so I when I was repairing it, I made some tests. When button is pressed into first position, it connects only "UP" or "DOWN" to ground. When pressed into second position, it connect both EXPRESS and direction (UP or DOWN) to the ground.
So I tried to connect EXPRESS+UP+GND manually but it did not work, it is not just about connecting the right wires, but also some logic does apply. I assume this logic is in the DDM.
