Auto headlight failure

A few days ago while driving highway speeds in moderate rain - headlights on auto, there was a minor electrical flash in the instrument area and the headlights went out. They can still be turned on with manual control but the auto function is kaput. With the car back in the garage I can smell (I think) burned insulation. Just passing this along for information.

Uh. Ok. The only thing to say to this is, get it fixed at the dealer under warranty and then come back and tell us what the problem was and how it was fixed, in case it happens to others.
