When Remote Start is activated and the heated/ventilated seats are enabled via CUE, neither indicator will illuminate on the HVAC control panel.
The seats are not cooled, (another brilliant cost-saving measure from Cadillac; the cooled seats in my Chevy chill so well your sperm count is diminished) --just ventilated, meaning the leather and seat cushion bake all day and all you're doing when the ventilated option is enabled, is blowing the warm air out of the interior of the seat. This is why the seats appear to be "cooling" during a morning commute, but don't do much at all when the interior is well over 100 degrees. A more powerful 12vdc computer fan would likely be a lot more effective, especially if placed inline with a 12 vdc TEC (Thermo-Electric Cooler).
One option is to ensure the air ducts are sealed under the seat and verify the fan is operating at all (three) speeds. That might take a borescope or a dealership diagnostic to confirm.
