What does everyone think of these?

I like them, and so does Claire. Just wondering what everyone else thought.

I like them alot, but I'm not a very big fan of the wagon. It's more practicle, but just not my thing. Personally, I would rather have a larger car, since the A/S/RS4 just seems a little small to me. I always liked the RS6 more, but of course they're no longer in production, are expensive, and hard to find.

No, we only got the RS6 and the S4 and S8. Im relatively certain the RS4 did not come on our shores, but the new generation is supposed to.

Im looking at RS6 now too

2002 Audi RS6 Avant (we want the Avant, we dont need another sedan)

34,000 miles, 52 REG EBONY BLACK WITH LIGHT GREY LEATHER/BLACK PIPING PRIVACY GLASS SIDE + REAR SUNBLINDS HEATED FRONT AND REAR SEATS SAT NAV/TV, CARBON TRIM BOSE SOUND SYSTEM A/C TRACKER NEW BRAKES. £33,995. specialist cars.

How's that?

£34,000 isn't much more than we got for the ESV..... Im sure I could stretch another £8k

I think that car would blow your socks off, very very responsive and fast car, and what better than a FAST Wagon WITH Quattro! Its not quite on the level of the E55 AMG Wagon or the M5 Wagon, but it comes damn close, and IIRC, neither of those has AWD. If Im not mistaken its got something like 400hp. Price not bad either.

The retail on that thing was about £58k.

Having just gotten rid of a 5-Series Touring I wouldnt touch another, nothing wrong with the car, but i didnt like it.

That Audi is nice, and its only 80 miles away. Im sure Claire could cope with that. We plan to sell her DHS in the near future anyway, so It would replace the ESV and leave an opening for her new car (i get new cars regular, she hasnt had one brand new for two years now) and i think she'd enjoy somethign like that. I'm just toying with ideas at the moment, we'd liek a fast wagon really, we just got rid of the 545i, and that was a fast wagon, so we like them.

Im open to ideas here really, we want something fun, fast, and semi practical. Manual gearbox, five doors etc.

Im just toying with ideas. I like these Audis though

Does she care about Slushbox vs. Manual tranny? Im pretty sure all of the RS's are exclusively manual transmission cars.

They are, well some of them have the paddles behind the wheel, tiptronic, if its a fast sporty car, a manual will be fine, she likes a manual as do I. This country has far more manual transmission cars than any other. People's preferences are reflected in this.

Well I hadnt considered this before, I just thought the RS4 Avant would be more fun, but obviously the 6 has merits over the 4 and the 4 has merits over the 6

Purty. If I was in the market for a wagon, this would be on the short list.

Im looking at other stuff too, we want a fun car, so the Lotus Elise is in the ballpark, a bit different you will agree, but i suppose if we are going to get something fun it may aswell be practical too.

I thought about a Golf GTI but then realised theyre fat and slow

Ok, not very long ago Claire three another one into the mix

The Honda S2000. She knows hwo to deal witht hese engines, so that issue is nothing to worry about, but what about the car itself? Ive driven one, but i was too busy having fun to notice the actual car
