I just got a 2016 ATS V and I'm looking to upgrade some things already.

Number 1 on the list is the OEM rear deck spoiler. I'm seeing 2 types:

1.
Tire Wheel Automotive tail & brake light Vehicle Car

2.
Vehicle registration plate Automotive parking light Automotive tail & brake light Car Vehicle

I'm looking all over the place and I can't seem to find the package that gives the coupe the spoiler in the second picture. The sedan has a different spoiler that doesnt fit the trunk style of the coupe.

I didnt think there was a difference but the first spoiler picture isn't really indicative of a "V" series car.

I'd much rather have the second option but I dont know where to get it. If anyone has the part number or what was needed to get the second option from the dealer please let me know!

It’s part of the carbon fiber package. The spoiler is not carbon fiber and body color (just like the “base” spoiler) and is only about an inch taller. 30mm or 1.18” taller to be exact. It has the same shape but is just extended vertical another inch. In my opinion it’s not a huge difference. You’ll notice it but it’s not going to make or break anything. I have a sedan but I’ve parked next to other V sedan’s with the high rise spoiler. I didn’t feel like I was missing out on anything. The high rise spoiler actually made the sedan look more boxy from the rear compared to a sleeker/angle look with the base spoiler. If you’re a spoiler guy you might want to look into an aftermarket unit and get more of a dramatic effect.

I too really disliked the base model blade spoiler and searched for days. Finally I remembered a company on Ebay that I have purchased from in the past with excellent results and looked them up. BINGO!
They sell this one that is specific to the coupe. And painted body color.
I took a chance and it's perfect.
You send them a message when you purchase telling them your paint code. Mine arrived in 7 days and was absolutely perfect outof the box. The paint was perfect as well.

Thanks for replying!

I saw this one on eBay but it looked sketchy. Glad you had a good experience with it, I’ll be buying it later today. How does it mount to the trunk lid? Is it the same hardware or all 3M tape?

The factory blade spoiler has a few screws that need to come out, as well as breaking the factory trim tape loose. That takes a very long time so use the right tools. Once the trunk lid has been cleaned of all residue, the new spoiler has red 3m tape already installed. I recommend using RTV silicone to seal the factory holes and prevent rust. You'll need to pop the trunk lid undercover off by removing the latch cover and feeding the trunk monkey pull handle out.
Make sure it goes back together correctly as if not, that pull latch can jamb when you shut the trunk, causing it to be next to impossible to open. I would take pics of everything first, paying attention to how the pull handle and latch are once the cover is off.

That happened to us, and my buddy had to crawl through the back seat and disassemble everything inside the trunk and finaggle the latch to open the trunk.
What a PITA. There are some videos on YouTube that show how to take the trunk undercover off.
Take you time and you'll love the spoiler. This makes the 3rd one I have bought from them over the past 12 years.
Hope this helps.

I've got a factory spoiler for a coupe for sale if interested - black plastic wrapped in a textured carbon wrap. The guy who wraps my company trucks did it for me a little hastily so it's not perfect and when I removed it one of the studs broke out of the plastic however it was been epoxied back in place. Wrap imperfections can be seen above the brake light. Will need new adhesive. $150, buyer pays shipping. PM me if interested.
