GM recommended Peek polish in one of the bulletins.
For general maintenance cleaning, PEEK Metal Polish+ may be used. It will clean and shine the chrome and leave behind a wax coating that may help protect the finish.

Any Metal safe polish will be fine, even a good soap and water scrub down, be sure not to use something tooooo abbrasive like degreaser though.

Polished aluminum isn't chrome, and in an automotive rim application, it's polished and clear coated. Treat it as you would a painted surface.

So you are recommending car polish that you would use for the car exterior as the way to go?

That will work fine. Like they were saying its painted. Clear coat over the polished rim.
