I'm looking to do an HID upgrade on the cts, and I've come across a pretty good deal for a kit from a guy I work with...

The brand is "Artec" and they're 9006/6000
They're brand new, and he's selling to me for $100 cad... which is a lot cheaper than anything I've seen online, and i dont have to deal with the shipping.

My only concern is the brand name... I've done some searching on the brand, and was able to find very little info on them.... So is this something I should be concerned with?
I've never been one to go the cheap route and get an inferior product, and I dont really want to start now... but he's hooking me up with a pretty good deal, and it's so damn convinient.

Is this for a whole kit or just bulbs?

Never heard of the brand name. Warranty information? You can usually tell a good brand if they have a good warranty. Like lifetime on bulbs or ballasts.

I used www.vvme.com around $100 american with a warranty. I think that's cheaper than $100 Can. I think, and they have great service, no risk.

Yes I bought a kit and then extra bulbs from them (www.vvme.com). Best deal I could find any where.

how did that kit work out for you?

I've had no complaints on the kit. Everytime I flip the switch, they come on. They do customer service through MSN chat so anytime I wanted to ask a question they were easy to get in touch. I didn't have to ask very much though, it's a pretty simple install.

Just bought the kit.... It actually comes with a 1 year warranty..
Although, I'm assuming that 1 year starts from the date of purchase, and not the date of install... and would also probably require a receipt.

Ah well...

If some sort of defect occurs, I'll accept my loss and move on. :want:


On a side not (and instead of creating a new thread), does anyone have any recommendations on LED's for the triangle/parking lights?
I figure I'll swap those out too when I have everything out. From what I could find, the bulbs are 194, but is there different types of colors/intensity available?

Most likely, I will NOT be buying these online, since I'm planning to get these installed in the next day or so.... but It would be nice to find some led's to match the 6000k's I got. :highfive:
