ok so i know some of us here enjoy bikes and not motor bikes but regular bikes
i have always enjoyed time in the summer on a saturday morning me and the Bike at the metro parks when its nice out or a ride to the pool every other day in the summer

so whats your favorit bike brand do you have one or are you happy with anyting aslongs and the wheels are not bent
me i like
Giant for a brand only bike i ever had that never had issues with
also do you have one shop you have gone to for bikes and repairs your entire life or do you go to anywhere out there

in cleveland area there is a place called BK bikes i have been going there ever since i could remember maybe 5 years old when i got my first free style
it was white and had stainless steel stand bars on the wheels none of that back peddling break crap i always hated when you would pedle backwards and that would be the break lol

so what about you got a favorit bike shop a favoite bike brand how about style

Yes. I love my bike. Some years, put more miles on my bicycle than my car during the summer season. I was down to 2,500 last year, unfortunately, but I'm pretty confident that will change (for the better) this year with some changes in my commute.

Riding a '00 Giant Yukon SE. Stripped it down and overhauled it a few years back with a new set of Alex rims with really nice hubs, new bottom bracket, crank set, rear cassette, chain, all new cables and cable housings, front and rear derailleurs, headset bearings, great set of Kenda tires, some handlebar grips, and a seat.

I'm gonna go with yes. Here's some pics of what I do

Whistler

Kicking Horse

Panorama

Downhill is my favourite, but considering there is really only a few places to do that in Manitoba I do a lot of XC/All-Mountain Riding. Favourite brands are Cove, Rocky Mountain, Intense and Santa Cruz. Good equipment is really expensive due to the relatively low production, but its an addicting sport.

its time for a new bike for me
mine is sevral years old i just spent 400 dollars on it 2 years ago for a new body well i found a used body for it on ebay frame

but im thinking about the
2010 GIANT TRANCE X2 SHIMANO SLX XT AVID

i was in the bike shop today
and they have 2 from last season left in the 2010 models considering it was a 2100 dollar bike and hes selling it now for 1020 for one of them wich was pre owned but owned for 1 week then returned
and the other one he is asking 1400 for brand new
i am thinking ill go with the 1020
but im not sure
my 2002 Giant Iguana is now 9 years old and was around 1400 new i think as for sure served its purpose and will got o a good home going to trade it in he said hed give me 200 trade in on it

You definetly overpaid for that Iguana, but the X2 is a pretty decent bike with solid components (thought personally I'd swap the Giant stem, seatpost, and bars). You should pull the trigger IMO

yeah i did over pay for it but i got it in 01 when the model was realeased early
its been a great bike for me
and it was not easy but i tracked down a brand new fram body not used but brand new when i replaced it

i also am adding in other things because i did not like the style handle bar it came with at the time also swaped the shifters out for a other style
added a new seat also swaped out the peddles for bigger ones
so when i add the price in im also adding in what extra stuff was
so when i say price back in 01 that included alot of extra things at the time
i also swapped out the biger off road tires for a on road tire because back then most of my riding came in when i was in the city at the time back in 01-04
i probably had about 340 on extras including a new helmet at the time

I had the X2 out on the back parking lot at the shop today just messing around and i loved it
i am for sure going to get it
yeah solid for sure i tell ya that its an awesome bike
and i get the service plan for 2 years so he does the maintiance on it for free for the first 2 years also the parts are covered under an exntreded year of coverage so thats cool also

I just can't pick witch saddle i want
i for sure am not going to keep the saddle it comes with
i think im going to grab this gell saddle hes got a new one that just came out last year
or i might have him swap out mine its 3 years old but its still comfy for me

Saddle all depends on the type of riding you plan to do with it. Personally I put freeride saddles on all my bikes, but its really preference.
Yeah usualy takes me a whyll to pick out a saddle i enjoy
i think i went threw 3 when i finaly found this but only reason i thinking of new again and not keeping it is because it is 3 years old
and its that gell so its kind of warn a bit also
but might just keep it
most my riding is at the Metro Parks when its nice
also on camping trips 2 times a year and to and from the pool wich is about a half mile from my house will do that 3 times a week

I have a LeMond Tourmalet. I can get some good speeds on it even at my young age of 55. I usually top out at around 30mph. Most days you'll find me riding it to the gym and back. Just spent $200 for a new rear gear shift.

my downhill days are behind me, but those pictures are more intense than anything I ever did. I have an old Raleigh hardtail that I built up. Somewhere on the order of $4000 by the time I was done. Back in the day, i went through 2 sets of Vbrakes and 4 or 5 chains. It's now hanging from my garage ceiling collecting dust.
